Favourite history figure: Oda Nobunaga. He was the war lord who united a divided Japan and paved the path for a prosperous Edo-period Japan.

I don't think we can judge the past with today's standards because they had different moral standards. I think it is arrogant of today's learners of history to assume that figures of the past operated under the ethics of today.
