"Authoritarian tendencies" do not equal fascism. The definition presented by JW Aldridge does not describe De Santis either. Not to mention that there are multiple definitions presented by multiple historians contesting each other. "Economic regimentation" as described by JW Aldridge seems to describe the likes of Bernie Sanders or even Joe Biden and their plans for the economy. A president who was democratically elected and democratically ruled out of his position is not a dictator. Plus, I've yet to see a fascist government that allows so much media criticism in their own country. By the way, I do not like him nor Trump, as I am a Canadian. However misplacing the fascist label on political figures or parties that exhibit "authoritarian" or "conservative" tendencies broaden the definition of fascism to bizarre extent. Congrats on having heroic grandparents but their accolades don't make you a qualified historian to override decades of debate over the definition of fascism.
